Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) June 28, 2007 -- He has a hit show on CNBC, several bestselling books and an almost cult-like following of fans. He's Jim Cramer, and how much you know about his tips on investing and money management could win a few lucky students a $500 college scholarship.

The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation (CKSF) is offering a unique scholarship based on Jim Cramer's most recent book, "Jim Cramer's Mad Money: Watch TV, Get Rich." Students have the summer to read the book and prepare for the September scholarship challenge. The web-based competition will have four, 20 question multiple choice quizzes based on questions from each chapter in the book.

Any high school or college student in the United States is eligible to enter this scholarship contest. There is no need to have an impressive stock portfolio or a stock broker on speed dial, just access to Cramer's book and a computer with an internet connection.

Registration is currently open for the Jim Cramer book scholarship. To participate, go to www.cksf.org and click on the "register here" link. Once you have a CKSF account, you'll be eligible for every CKSF scholarship, not just this one. To date, 11,000 students have registered for the Mad Money contest.

To show students what kinds of information they will be quizzed on in September, CKSF is offering weekly practice quizzes over the summer. CKSF is also giving away Cramer's book to the high scorer of each quiz. If the participation in the weekly quizzes is any indication of the scholarship in September, Jim Cramer's book will be flying off the shelves faster than the "lightning round" of his show.

CKSF is unique in that it awards scholarships based on students' common knowledge. CKSF offers online quizzes, with topics ranging anywhere from pop culture and movies, to chemistry and psychology. CKSF makes it easy for students to win scholarships, as there are no essays to write, no GPA requirements and no financial background check. All scholarships are free of charge, and students can win scholarships from CKSF starting in high school, and continuing through graduate school.

CKSF has more than 300,000 registered students, and has given away $75,000 in scholarship awards. Some popular CKSF scholarships include: FBI Common Knowledge Challenge, Criminal Justice, National Business School Scholarship, National Nursing Scholarship, American Heroes - U.S. Military Challenge and Movie Scholarships. CKSF is a not-for-profit organization administered at the Fischler School of Education and Human Services at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. For more information about this program and other CKSF scholarly programs, visit www.cksf.org.
